International Abstract Expressionist Artist Cynthia J. Duncan is based in the San Francisco Bay area. She was born in East Africa where she spent much of her time as a youth, as well as in England. Her travels have taken her to many countries including Australia and Hong Kong, loving the diversity amongst the cultures and societies. Cynthia has painted in the abstract since she was a child, finding it the most succinct way to interpret the many facets of thought and emotion within herself, as well as her observations of human interaction and the intangible energies of the world around her. She expresses herself in paintings of oil on canvas, as well as watercolor on paper. Her paintings are emotive, vibrant and rich in color and she creates a wonderful sense of depth and movement within her works. Cynthia has exhibited extensively in galleries throughout the United Kingdom and the United States and has a growing following of discerning collectors both here in the U.S.A. and Internationally. She currently has a studio at the Industrial Center Building (ICB) in beautiful Sausalito.
